archaeology
Here's a page talking about the archaeology I have done in the past
In June 2021 I participted in the Birdoswald Roman Fort Field school. Here I learnt a wide array of different skills, ranging from the use of hand tools to an introduciton to several geophysical measurement devices and the use of a dumpy level. See below for a list of skills I have learnt on-site
In June 2022 I travelled to the Isle of Man to join in an excavation of a bronze age burial site near Kirk Michael. During this excavation I developed and honed the skills I learnt at Birdoswald, in addition to learning brand new ones. For example on site I became well versed in recording finds properly, and using a total station to record the 3D position of finds.Â
